An exceptional organization, and an exceptional site, complete with library,
an `act now' section, links to recommended sites, and contact details for its
members.

An incredible book, and an incredible site to go with it.  This website
offers information on the following: The Book - IRC - Media - Events -
Features - Research - Resources - Stories - Critics - Technology.
And it's totally interactive.  Whether you've never heard of Naomi Kline,
author of `No Logo', or you've been a fan of hers for a while, you will
get a lot out of this site.

All the latest Free the Children news and events, updates on current projects
and campaigns they're working on, as well as speaking schedules for all their
speakers including Craig. Go see what's going on!

Global Resource Action Center for the Environment.
Another great site, this one concerned with protecting the environment at all levels.
It contains information and links on a number of issues, including the `factory farm project', `nuclear abolition program', `Environment and public health', `United Nations Initiatives', `Corporate Accountability' and the `GRACE Public Fund'.

The leader in worldwide action, Greenpeace, offers many opportunities for activism.  You can search not only the American issues, but those from any other country.

The Poor People's Economic Human Rights campain- a `multicultural organization of, by and for poor and homeless people struggling to survive and bring everyone up and out of poverty'.  Established in Kensington, Philadelphia, to highlight the effects of closing industry, this site is a fantastic example of activism, and optimism, at a local level.

supporting people's active engagement in creating a more just, sustainable
and compassionate world.  They publish YES! A Journal of Positive Futures.

The Olympic Living Wage Project is an international human rights project
focusing on the lives of sweatshop workers in Nike’s Indonesian shoe factories.
The two project participants, Jim Keady and Leslie Kretzu, will adopt the
lifestyle, diet, customs and culture of the factory workers and live on their
prevailing wages over approximately a two-month period.

McLibel: Two Worlds Collide is the inside story of how a single father
and a part-time bar worker took on the McDonald's Corporation. Filmed
over three years, the documentary follows Helen Steel and Dave Morris
as they are transformed from anonymous campaigners into unlikely global
heroes defending themselves in the longest trial in English history.
Check out the website, which offers information on the case, the making of
the documentary and its
distribution.
